Curriculum Overview
Homeschool Co-Op
A place for families seeking autonomy with professional guidance and instruction. Parents can choose between Shaye Academy curricula options or their own materials. This includes in-person teaching (three evenings per week with dinner included and half-day Saturdays) and the option for virtual follow-up. Parents can opt out of certain times, and predetermined makeup days are provided.
Hybrid Options
This is ideal for learners who thrive on a mix of in-person collaboration and home-based study. This option allows students to gain the social benefits of an academy while maintaining extreme scheduling flexibility.
Traditional Support
Traditional methods work for students in local schools who need supplemental mastery. This format is focused on closing learning gaps and providing enrichment that schools may not offer.
Tutoring & Coaching
This is a modality for students needing 1:1 subject-specific mastery or executive function support. Students develop critical study skills and confidence across all academic domains.
Test Prep (SAT/ACT)
Test prep is a targeted approach for high schoolers, as well as for advanced middle schoolers. Students master testing strategies and content while significantly boosting scores and college/scholarship prospects.
Online-Only Programs
Our online programs are for students who desire academic excellence regardless of location. Access our specialized curriculum and 1:1 support from anywhere in the world.

Individualized Instruction
At the heart of Shaye Academy, we believe that every child is capable of incredible things. For that reason, our instruction always includes:

- Choice of full core program (all subjects) or individual subject areas

Subject Directory
English Language Arts
We emphasize reading and writing across the curriculum. This includes filling reading gaps (phonics, fluency), learning vocabulary, reading various genres and texts at high levels, writing clearly and effectively, listening, and speaking.
Mathematics
Our multi-sensory and comprehensive math approach bridges the gap between abstract equations and conceptual understanding, making complex and mental math intuitive for every learner. We focus on connecting understanding with speed and accuracy.
Science & Lab
Through real world examples, discussion, labs, inquiry, reading, and writing, students expand their knowledge of the natural world.
Social Studies
Our approach transforms history and civics into active dialogues, encouraging deep thinking and an understanding of global citizenship. It is not simply memorization. After all, history is meant to be rich in cause-effect, lasting impacts, and relationships.
SAT/ACT Preparation
Beyond just test-taking strategies, we provide data-driven instruction that targets individual skill gaps to maximize scoring potential and confidence.
Leadership Training
We utilize real-world projects, mentors, and volunteering to build essential skills, empowering students to manage teams and execute initiatives with professional maturity.
Financial and Career Literacy
Students have the opportunity to practice financial skills critical in the real world, such as budgeting and career-building.
Independent Exploration
Students are encouraged to take an Independent Exploration elective to study and grow in skills of their choice. Each topic is built with experiential opportunities, reading, writing, speaking, and research.
